Chrome Remote Desktop App Reviews

This app was excellent but hasn’t been updated in years. It doesn’t seem to work with iOS 11. I can see my computer online but can’t click on the icon to get into Chrome Remote Desktop.

This app is good for free, as many other screen sharing apps cost money. However, I dont know if its supposed to stream sound on my phone but it doesnt? Dont know if its a big or something. Other than that good app.

Doesn’t connect to computers on WiFi when connected to cellular or other WiFi network.

This is a great Remote Desktop app for iPad. Probably better than the one that Microsoft provides. The problem is that with Windows 10 and support for tablet mode and stylus, there is no support for the Apple Pencil. If it was possible to make it so that the Apple Pencil is supported and treated as a stylus in windows, PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN. It would be the best thing! Also, for trackpad mode, it would be nice if it supported the default Windows 10 gestures. Finally, please add support for the wake on lan feature. This way those desktop computers that this is used for often do sit there running all day! Thanks!

Followed directions step by step on Chromebook and iPhone with most recent version of this app. Could not locate chromebook on the network for whatever reason. Same network and share key open and ready to be entered on iPhone app but nothing comes up. iPhone app has no user options at all.

Updates? Or is it just that great? ;) Id love to see a few more features, like file transfers, but it does the basics very well.

Ever since ios 11 the app goes “oh snap!”and when i reload the page or restart the app it will only load part of the page then its just white. Clearing cache and cookies helps for a page load or 2 but then it happens again. Reinstalling the app is better but still only a few page loads before it breaks again. Please fix.

It would be really great if this worked between iPhones and Chromebooks. I can’t register my chrome book under “my computers” or enter an access code on the iPhone app, so it’s basically useless. Would be a game changer if it worked though.

Not supported for arabic keyboard

This app worked great for the first few weeks. Now the host is always offline when its not. Please fix it Google.

Cannot put in password

Does not work with iOS 11 (worked fine yesterday with iOS 10). Keyboard doesn’t come up when trying to log in to a remote machine making it impossible to log in.

When I open a link from my Google Mail, it now opens a single iteration of Chrome, which constantly reloads every 5 seconds.

This is the drawback on connecting.

Had some time with this and it works great for those lazy times your on the other side of the room. If you dont want to get up and move the mouse or type on a keyboard, open the app and its at your fingertips. However, recently Ive had an issue where the app wouldnt pick up my second monitor. I have yet to fix it and hopefully someone could get back to me on this. Other than that, so far so good. Love the app.

Better and way smoother than I thought!!

It works except for the Bluetooth keyboard support.

I get a real choppy connection if anything at all. I can see the screen of my computer, but when I click nothing happens, the programs switch but I cant see no menus or quit them, much less shut down the machine. Garbage.

Stuck on the initial "Welcome" screen on iPad 5th gen, and refuses to proceed past that.

I got to the part where it gave me the code and i dont have snywhere to enter it and the only thing this app says is help on my screen.
